In the jazz world, it’s called Contrafacts – new melodies composed over the harmonic structures of existing tunes. Often complex and challenging to perform, they’re a delight for the listener – and a doorway to the imagination.
Aviv Blum (alto saxophone) and Yuval Sorkin (tenor saxophone) – two fresh voices recently returned from studies in New York and Boston – come together for a special evening of reinvention, exploration, and connection. These days, you’ll find them playing regularly alongside some of the top names in the scene – but on this night, they’ll be sharing the stage with one another.
